The game mixes two classic arcade genres - shoot 'em ups and brick breakers. Players control either RacketBoy or RacketGirl, who cannot directly attack enemies. Instead, they must use their racket to strike back the projectiles and bullets that foes fire at them. This creates a distinctive gameplay loop where players carefully position themselves to return the enemy fire, building up combos and momentum as the projectiles ricochet around the screen.

The racket is the player's primary tool. You can use it to swat away bullets, blocks, and other objects, building up powerful combos the more you keep the ball in play. The racket supports both forehand and backhand shots, allowing for precise angling and positioning to properly redirect enemy fire. Additionally, you can perform a quick dodge roll to avoid incoming threats, adding an extra layer of mobility and evasion.

❤ Power-Up Buddies

Throughout each level, players can rescue various "Buddies" - cute animal companions that provide different special abilities. These Buddies can shoot projectiles, perform melee attacks, create shields, and more, giving you additional tools to employ against the onslaught of enemies. Buddies can also be leveled up by repeatedly collecting them, enhancing their usefulness over time.

❤ Challenging Objectives and Replayability

While the core mechanics are relatively simple to grasp, the game provides a significant challenge through its array of level-specific objectives. Each stage has 5 optional challenges to complete, such as finishing without taking damage or achieving a high combo. These extra objectives add depth and replayability, as you must master the level layouts and enemy patterns to overcome the tougher requirements.
