❤ Customizable Party Creation

Players can create a highly customized party of 6 characters, choosing from a variety of classic fantasy classes like fighter, barbarian, ranger, archer, rogue, monk, cleric, druid, and mage. Each class has its own unique abilities and strengths that can be further developed through skill trees and class advancements. Players can either use a pre-made default party for their first playthrough, or they can spend time building their own custom party, experimenting with different combinations of classes and character builds. This customization extends beyond the initial class selection, as players can unlock new "birth feats" through achievements that provide their characters with unique abilities and playstyles.

❤ Deep RPG Mechanics

The game features remarkably deep RPG mechanics that allow for a high degree of character development and party optimization. Characters gain experience points from combat and quests, allowing players to level them up and unlock new skills, spells, and stat increases. The skill and spell systems are complex, with a wide variety of options that can be tailored to suit the player's preferred playstyle. As characters reach higher levels, they can unlock advanced class promotions that further enhance their capabilities. In addition to character progression, the game also features an extensive loot system, with hundreds of unique items and equipment pieces to acquire. Players must carefully manage their inventory, choosing the best gear to outfit their party members.

❤ Tactical Turn-Based Combat

The core of the gameplay revolves around turn-based combat encounters. When the player's party encounters enemies, the game transitions to a tactical battle screen where each character can perform a single action per turn, such as moving, attacking, casting spells, or using special abilities. While the combat can initially feel a bit slow-paced, the game provides several features to improve the experience. Players can enable an "auto-combat" mode that will automatically resolve straightforward encounters, saving time. Additionally, the ability to customize each character's combat behavior through detailed scripting options allows players to fine-tune their party's tactics to their liking. Successful combat requires players to carefully position their party, take advantage of class synergies, and exploit enemy weaknesses.

❤ Exploration and Progression

Beyond the combat-focused gameplay, the game also encourages exploration and non-linear progression. The game world is divided into various overworld maps, dungeons, and caves, all of which are filled with loot, puzzles, and side quests to discover. Players are free to explore these areas at their own pace, tackling challenges and encountering enemies as they see fit. The lack of a strict level-scaling system means that players can sometimes stumble upon areas or enemies that are far beyond their current capabilities, incentivizing them to carefully plan their routes and consider their party's strengths. As players progress through the game, they'll unlock new areas, uncover the ongoing narrative, and gain access to more advanced character options and equipment. The game's replayability is further enhanced by the various achievements and "birth feats" that can be unlocked, each of which can significantly alter the player's subsequent playthroughs.
