❤ Asymmetric Gameplay

One player takes on the role of the Killer, while the other four players play as Survivors. The Killer's goal is to hunt down and sacrifice all the Survivors to the Entity, while the Survivors must work together to repair five generators, open the exit gates, and escape the trial. This asymmetric design creates a unique and tense gameplay dynamic, with the Killer playing in a first-person perspective and the Survivors playing in third-person, each side having different objectives and abilities.

❤ Survivor Gameplay

Survivors can use a variety of tools and perks to help them in their task. They can equip flashlights to temporarily blind the Killer, medkits to heal themselves and others, and pallets or windows to create distance between themselves and the Killer. Survivors can also work together to unhook teammates from hooks, distract the Killer, and provide information to one another. The Survivors' goal is to survive the trial and escape, rather than to directly confront the Killer.

❤ Killer Gameplay

Killers must use their unique powers, along with their knowledge of the map and their tracking skills, to locate and down Survivors. Each Killer has a distinctive ability, such as the Nurse's teleportation or the Trapper's trap-setting. Once a Survivor is downed, the Killer can then pick them up and hook them, which triggers a sacrificial process that will eventually kill the Survivor if they are not rescued in time. The Killer's primary objective is to sacrifice all four Survivors to the Entity.

❤ Procedural Map Generation

The maps are made up of a variety of pre-designed tiles that are randomly placed, creating a unique layout every time a trial starts. This ensures that the Survivors never know exactly what to expect, and that the Killer must adapt their strategy to the ever-changing environment.

❤ Progression and Customization

Both Survivors and Killers have their own progression systems, allowing players to unlock new perks, items, and add-ons that can be used to enhance their playstyle. The "Bloodweb" system allows players to spend earned points to unlock new abilities and customize their characters, adding an element of depth and strategy to the gameplay.

❤ Replayability and Tension

The combination of the asymmetric gameplay, procedural map generation, and progression systems creates a highly replayable experience. Each trial feels unique, with the Survivors and Killer having to constantly adapt to the changing conditions. This unpredictability, coupled with the tense life-or-death stakes, is a major part of what makes the gameplay so engaging and addictive for many players.
