As the drill sergeant, you assume full responsibility for transforming a group of flabby recruits into lean, mean, fighting machines over the course of 12 weeks. The core gameplay loop tasks you with carefully assigning recruits to various training regimens, such as improving their Stamina, Marksmanship, Agility, and more. The training process is not without its challenges, as you must address any adverse traits that your recruits develop. Carefully balancing the training to enhance their skills while addressing negative behaviors is crucial. As you progress, you unlock access to more advanced training options and specialized soldier types, including riflemen, divers, snipers, and paratroopers. Alongside the training, you can also upgrade and expand your base camp, unlocking new facilities and resources to support your growing army of soldiers.

Once your recruits are adequately trained, you can enter them into various competitions, including marksmanship challenges, boxing matches, and track and field events. These competitions not only earn you Prestige Points, but also allow you to assess the capabilities of your soldiers before deploying them on missions. The ultimate objective is to successfully complete a multi-stage mission, where you must strategically deploy your trained soldiers to navigate through a series of encounters and combat scenarios. The outcome of the mission is directly influenced by the collective skills and attributes of your squad, introducing an element of risk management and strategic decision-making.

The game's progression system and roguelike elements encourage replayability, as each new batch of recruits presents unique challenges due to their varying initial stats and adverse traits.
