A horror cooking simulator where the secret ingredient is crime. Improve your shops, buy new tools, expand your menu, and above all, make your customers happy.
Players control two separate characters - Percival, who operates the upstairs tailor shop, and Hildred, who runs the downstairs kitchen and pub. Players must carefully coordinate the actions of both characters to keep their macabre business running. Percival kills customers in the tailor shop and throws their bodies down to Hildred, who then processes the bodies into meat for cooking. Effectively managing the tasks and responsibilities of these two characters simultaneously is the core of the gameplay, requiring players to constantly prioritize and multitask.
In addition to juggling the two protagonists, players must also efficiently manage their time and resources to meet the demands of their customers. This involves a variety of tasks, such as preparing ingredients, cooking meals, serving customers, and upgrading their facilities. Players must balance these operational needs with the necessity of disposing of corpses and acquiring new ones, creating a challenging, fast-paced gameplay loop that emphasizes careful planning and execution.
As players progress, they unlock new recipes, tools, and facilities that enhance their ability to streamline their macabre operations. These upgrades include items like the sausage grinder, butcher's table, and greenhouse, which provide additional options for processing bodies and acquiring ingredients. The unlock of these new elements adds depth and complexity to the gameplay, allowing players to optimize their business in increasingly efficient ways.
Complementing the main story campaign is an Endless Mode that challenges players to sustain their gruesome business for as long as possible. This mode introduces new mechanics, such as a police officer who periodically checks the premises, adding an extra layer of risk and tension to the gameplay. The Endless Mode provides a compelling replayable experience that allows players to further hone their multitasking and time management skills.
