The new Extreme Heat Mode allows Kiryu to enter a powered-up state, unleashing heavy-damage combos with his fists or any nearby objects as makeshift weapons. This adds an extra layer of intensity and strategy to the combat.

Players can freely explore two distinct locales - the familiar Kamurocho district of Tokyo and the new seaside town of Onomichi, Hiroshima. The clan creator, in particular, allows players to recruit and customize their own group of yakuza subordinates to engage in large-scale battles.
