❤ Weaving Tactics and Deckbuilding

You take control of a team of Floppy Knights - tangible projections summoned from floppy disks - and move them across grid-based battlefields, using cards from your deck to execute abilities and attacks. Each turn, you draw a hand of 5 cards and must strategically decide how to use your limited energy to move units and play cards. Your commander unit generates an additional card each turn, further enabling you to chain together combos.

❤ Tactical Depth

The core gameplay loop is relatively straightforward, but offers substantial tactical depth. Positioning your units is crucial, as range, movement, and terrain all factor into the effectiveness of attacks and abilities. You must consider not just the immediate effects of your card plays, but how those will set up future turns. Drawing and cycling the right cards at the right time becomes a key part of executing successful strategies. Many levels also introduce unique environmental hazards or enemy types that require adapting your approach.

❤ Deckbuilding Flexibility

The deckbuilding system provides considerable flexibility to experiment and develop your own playstyles. There are multiple distinct factions of Floppy Knights, each with their own thematic card sets and strengths. As you progress, you unlock new cards and can freely customize your decks between levels. Finding effective synergies between different unit types and card abilities is a large part of the game's appeal and replayability. You can also swap between pre-built decks on the fly to adapt your strategies to specific level requirements or challenges.

❤ Difficulty and Progression

The difficulty curve strikes a generally well-balanced balance, starting relatively approachable but becoming increasingly challenging as you progress. Many levels require careful planning and execution to overcome. The game's "challenge levels" in particular offer fiendishly difficult remixed scenarios that put your deckbuilding and tactical skills to the test. Mastering these optional challenges becomes a rewarding end-game pursuit for more experienced players.
