Blasted Road Terror is real-time tactical looter in post apocalyptic setting. Command mighty warcrawler and manage squadron of vehicles in order to get unseen riches of the world and reach immortal glory.
The game puts players in command of a "warcrawler" (main vehicle) and a squadron of support vehicles, engaging in small-scale tactical combat against various enemy factions in a real-time setting. Players must carefully manage the positioning and loadouts of each vehicle to counter the specific threats encountered, such as enemies with strong armor that require the use of flamethrowers to bypass, or bikers with high dodge chance that call for tesla weapons.
The three main vehicle classes - Interceptor, Marauder, and Attack Vehicle - each offer unique traits and passive abilities that players must consider when assembling their squad. For example, the Interceptor excels at hit-and-run tactics, while the Marauder can serve as a heavily armored tank. Players can further customize their vehicles with a variety of weapons and equipment, allowing them to shape their squads to suit their preferred playstyle, whether it's a support-focused build with additional ammo capacity and melee weapons, or an offensive configuration with machine guns, explosive spear throwers, and missile launchers.
The game presents players with a range of mission types, from quick 5-10 minute engagements to longer 30-minute "Patrol" missions with branching paths. Each mission type requires adjusting the squad composition and loadouts to address the unique tactical challenges, such as facing enemies with different resistances or objectives that demand specific resources. As players complete missions, their vehicles gain experience and can be upgraded, unlocking new capabilities and equipment, encouraging experimentation with different builds and strategies.
In addition to tactical combat, the game also features resource management elements. Players must carefully manage the limited space and carrying capacity of their main vehicle, balancing the needs for weapons, armor, consumables, and spare parts. Losing a support vehicle permanently means that players must either rebuild that asset or hire a temporary replacement, adding an element of risk and investment to each mission.
