Shaolin vs Wutang is a INDIE love letter to Martial Arts and classic Kung Fu films. Made for casual game fans not intended for Hardcore Fighting Game players.
Players control characters using four buttons with intuitive inputs. Each fighter possesses 5-8 unique combo sequences. Characters automatically dodge attacks by pressing back or down-back. Special moves require quarter-circle directional inputs. A super meter builds during combat, enabling powerful finishing attacks. Newcomers can execute complex-looking moves with minimal practice.
Thirty fighters mirror legendary martial artists like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li. Precise martial arts styles include Jeet Kune Do, Drunken Fist, and Wing Chun. Fighters can switch between hand-to-hand and weapon-based combat. Moves directly reference iconic fight choreography from 70s-80s films.
Graphics deliberately mimic vintage kung fu film aesthetics. Animations intentionally maintain a slightly stiff, nostalgic quality. Combo system allows players to chain 3-5 hit attacks seamlessly. Five difficulty levels accommodate casual and competitive players.
Single-player arcade campaign. Local tournament mode supporting up to eight players. Comprehensive training mode with customizable AI behaviors. CPU battle spectator mode.
