Vector is an exciting, arcade-style game featuring you as the exceptional free runner who won’t be held down by the system. In this totalitarian world freedom and individually is nothing more than a distant dream. But the heart of a freerunner is strong, and so you break free.
The protagonist, a silhouetted free-runner, constantly runs forward as players control their movements using simple up, down, and right inputs to navigate through obstacle-filled levels. Players must time their jumps, slides, and wall-runs precisely to progress.
As the game advances, the obstacle courses become increasingly complex, testing the player's mastery of the parkour mechanics. Completing a level with a full 3-star rating, which requires collecting all the coins and executing all the unlocked tricks, demands repeated attempts and flawless execution.
Scattered throughout the levels are specific points where players can perform unique parkour tricks by pressing the up input. However, these tricks must first be unlocked by spending coins earned from completing levels, adding depth and a sense of progression to the experience.
Rather than having direct control over the protagonist's movement, players must react and adapt to the continuous scrolling of the levels. This creates a constant sense of urgency and pressure, as players must anticipate obstacles and opportunities ahead of time.
An ever-present threat, the relentless pursuer known as "Big Brother," chases the protagonist throughout the levels. Outrunning this determined hunter becomes an additional layer of tension and motivation, as players must maintain their speed and precision to avoid capture.
The three-star rating system, which requires collecting all coins and executing all tricks, encourages players to repeatedly attempt each level to achieve the highest scores. Additionally, the ability to unlock new parkour techniques through the in-game currency system provides a sense of progression and mastery as players advance through the game.
