Hack Into God
The game features an interactive scenario-branching system called the "Hacking Trigger" that allows you, the player, to advise the protagonist Pollon on when to save and load his game data. Your choices and Pollon's actions determine the outcome of the story.
When you encounter a critical juncture in the story, you can prompt Pollon to use the "Save & Load" app, allowing him to travel back in time and change the future. Timing the save/load function is crucial, as missing the right opportunity can lead to game overs.
The game breaks the fourth wall by directly involving you in the story. Rather than a conventional visual novel structure, the game gives you an active role in guiding Pollon's actions through the "Hacking Trigger" system. You can use your own judgment to determine when Pollon should load a previous save to alter the course of events.
The branching narrative structure creates a nonlinear gameplay experience. Your choices and use of the save/load mechanic can lead to multiple possible endings, encouraging you to replay the game to uncover all the story branches and conclusions.
The game has partial controller support, with the developer recommending the Gamepad template as the optimal configuration for playing.
