❤ Investigative Segments

Throughout the story, the player takes on the roles of the two protagonists, Diane and Jackie, each with their own unique approach to investigating crime scenes and interrogating suspects. Diane's investigation segments feature an "Intuition" mode, where players must quickly identify relevant clues from a crowded environment. This mechanic reinforces her character's intuitive, perceptive nature. In contrast, Jackie's investigation sequences involve more freeform exploration and conversation with witnesses. This allows players to engage with the detective work through a more open-ended, conversational style. While these investigative sequences are not overly challenging, they successfully break up the visual novel pacing and encourage the player to actively participate in unraveling the central mystery.

In addition to the investigation gameplay, the experience features a couple of simple minigames. The most prominent of these is the aforementioned "Intuition" mode, which tasks players with quickly identifying key clues. These minigames, though not particularly deep, provide an extra layer of interactivity and reinforce the detective/mystery theme. They serve as a refreshing break from the standard visual novel format, allowing players to engage with the narrative in a more hands-on way.
