During investigations, you'll explore crime scenes and other areas, examining items of interest and conversing with characters to collect information and evidence. This is where the story unfolds, as you slowly piece together the details of each case. The investigation gameplay expands upon previous entries with "Summation Examinations" - sections where you must convince a jury of the defendant's innocence by addressing their concerns and changing their minds one by one.

❤ Dance of Deduction

Another new mechanic is the "Dance of Deduction", where you must observe the environment and correct the brilliant but flawed deductions made by the eccentric detective Herlock Sholmes. This requires carefully examining the details to determine where Sholmes' logic has gone astray.

❤ Courtroom Trials

In the courtroom, the classic cross-examination formula remains, but you'll now have to deal with a jury that must be swayed to the defendant's innocence. The trials also feature the ability to have multiple witnesses testify at the same time, requiring you to carefully follow each testimony and identify the contradictions between them.
