Crazy, physics-driven, four-player marathon across Japan. Combining classic racers like Micro Machines and the insanity of TV's Takeshi's Castle, smash through offices and shopping malls and hurl fruit at your opponents in a party game unlike anything you've played before!
Players control ragdoll-like characters who frequently trip, stumble, and get knocked around by the various obstacles and hazards littering the courses. The physics-driven movement creates a delightfully chaotic experience, as players struggle to maintain control amidst the mayhem.
Each race takes place on a unique course inspired by different locations in Japan. Players may have to hurdle over barrels, dodge packs of Shiba Inu dogs, avoid getting hit by bicycles, and even run across precariously balanced planks over waterfalls. The diverse environments constantly throw new challenges at the players, keeping the gameplay fresh and unpredictable.
Throughout the races, players can collect items such as bananas and heat-seeking watermelons. These can then be used to hinder opponents, adding an extra layer of chaos and unpredictability to the proceedings. A well-timed watermelon throw can suddenly turn the tables on a leading player.
In addition to finishing the race, players must also maintain their popularity by accomplishing specific actions, such as using items or kicking business people. Losing popularity can result in point deductions, encouraging players to balance their performance with crowd-pleasing antics.
Alongside the main marathon races, the game offers a variety of party game modes and minigames. These include the "L.O.B.S.T.E.R." mode, a challenging, randomly generated obstacle course, and a "Trolley Bowling" game where players launch themselves into giant pins.
The game's primary focus is on local multiplayer for up to four players. This is where the chaotic gameplay truly shines, as players constantly interfere with each other, leading to hilarious and unpredictable moments that will have everyone in stitches.
