Muffled Warfare is a multiplayer first-person echolocation shooter where everyone is blind and uses sounds to SEE, SHOOT and SILENCE their competition. You've heard of that blind superhero that dresses up like a devil in red right? Yea, think that, but with guns.
This multiplayer first-person shooter strips away visual information, forcing players to navigate and fight using sound alone. Players reveal the environment by making noise or firing a special "sonic" bullet that momentarily transforms the black landscape into white sound waves.
Players begin with a basic pistol and collect five additional weapons, including a 3-round burst rifle, flak gun, sniper rifle, and rocket launcher. Projectile-based shooting requires players to lead targets and manage weapon cooldown. A right-click "sonar" ability temporarily illuminates nearby terrain. Random environmental sounds like lightning can briefly expose the entire map.
Combat demands precise audio positioning and strategic sound management. Players must move carefully to avoid creating noise that reveals their location. Matches typically last until a time or score limit is reached. Three distinct maps (Mansion, Open Plains, and Sewers) offer varied combat environments.
A radically different shooter experience that transforms traditional FPS gameplay. Responsive, classic shooter movement mechanics. Built-in bot matches for solo players. Skill-based progression without microtransaction barriers. Accessibility for newcomers with depth for experienced players.
Limited active player community. Relatively few maps and weapon options. Some weapon balance inconsistencies.
