Fast paced, first person adventure aboard Noah's ark!
Players control Noah in a first-person perspective, navigating maze-like levels and using slingshots to shoot food at unruly animals. Rather than guns like in Wolfenstein 3D, the player has an arsenal of feeding implements - a basic small feeder, a rapid-fire larger feeder, and specialty projectile weapons like the cantaloupe feeder and watermelon feeder. The goal is to incapacitate the animals by putting them to sleep with the feed, not kill them outright.
The levels are described as tighter and more navigable than the sprawling mazes of Wolfenstein 3D. An in-game automap feature helps players keep track of their progress, a helpful improvement over the original design. Levels are also shorter overall, maintaining a fast-paced, action-focused tempo.
Despite its "family-friendly" marketing, the game proves quite challenging. Enemies attack quickly, forcing players to carefully manage their limited ammo and health supplies, especially on higher difficulty settings. Strategically placed power-ups, earned by answering Bible trivia questions scattered throughout levels, provide helpful boosts.
Reviewers praise the game for taking the solid core Wolfenstein 3D gameplay and putting a unique spin on it with the feeding slingshots and religious theming. The fast-paced, punishing challenge combined with the game's quirky sense of humor make for an engaging experience for both classic FPS fans and those intrigued by the unusual concept.
