The Developer Says...

“Are things OK as they are?” In every second of every minute of the life the young man had lived, the same thought recurred in his mind. Looking back on his past, the girls he’d met in this peaceful life made him feel guilty, and his heart was tormented with that guilt.

❤ Gameplay Structure and Content

Players can engage with several key gameplay components in this visual novel. First, there are five short 2-3 hour "after stories" that continue the storylines of the heroines from the previous game. These allow players to revisit their favorite characters and see what happens after the events of the first title. The main narrative, titled "The Cocoon of Caprice", focuses on exploring the protagonist Kazami Yuuji's backstory in depth. This 20-hour grand route gives players an intimate look at how Yuuji came to attend Mihama Academy. In addition, the game includes around 30 short, standalone "slice-of-life" stories. These non-canonical vignettes provide additional character interactions and humor. The uncensored, non-Steam version also features a "Masturbation Station" section, which contains several short erotic stories featuring various characters.

❤ Gameplay Mechanics

Unlike the previous game, this visual novel is a kinetic novel with no player choices or branching paths. Players simply read through the text-based story, occasionally accompanied by background art, character portraits, and animated cutscenes. There are no interactive gameplay elements beyond the core visual novel storytelling - no minigames, puzzles, or decision-making that impacts the narrative.

❤ Player Impressions

Fans of the first game have praised the depth and quality of the storytelling, particularly the main route's exploration of Yuuji's backstory. The after stories also allow players to spend more time with the beloved heroines. However, some players have expressed disappointment with the lack of branching paths and player choice, as well as the shorter overall length compared to the previous title. The removal of adult content in the Steam version has also been a point of contention for some. Despite these criticisms, the game is generally seen as a solid continuation of the narrative, with engaging characters and a compelling central story. Fans eagerly await the release of the final game in the trilogy.
