Rise to Ruins

by Raymond Doerr, SixtyGig Games

The Developer Says...

A brutal godlike village sim that melds the god game, management, and tower defense genres! Fight off hoards of monsters at night, and expand your village in the day time. Inspired by games like Black and White, Rimworld, and Dwarf Fortress but not quite like any of them.

❤ Village Management

As the godlike overseer, you must carefully manage and grow your village settlement. Assign villagers to gather resources, construct buildings, and maintain vital infrastructure like food, water, and shelter. Constantly monitor factors like villager happiness, health, and longevity to keep your population thriving.

❤ Tower Defense

When night falls, your village faces waves of monster attacks. Strategically place defensive structures like walls, traps, and towers to fend off the invaders. Summon magical abilities and summon golems to aid in the battle. Precisely positioning your defenses and managing the incoming threats is crucial for survival.

❤ Overworld Expansion

The game features an expansive overworld map that you can explore and conquer. Establish new villages in neighboring regions and transfer resources and villagers between them. This allows you to scale up your operations and take on increasingly difficult challenges as you expand your influence.

❤ Progression and Replayability

Despite the high difficulty, robust progression systems encourage you to keep experimenting and learning from your failures. Earn "god points" that can be spent on permanent upgrades and bonuses, ensuring each unsuccessful attempt still contributes to long-term advancement.

❤ Customization and Difficulty Settings

Customize the experience to your liking with a variety of difficulty settings. Choose from the core Survival mode, the relaxed Peaceful setting, the punishingly difficult Nightmare option, or create completely custom games. The depth of the systems and the ability to shape the terrain lead to emergent and dynamic gameplay scenarios, ensuring no two playthroughs are alike.
