Solo or up to 4 players. Get rid of your employer's failed experiments in abandoned underwater labs. Navigate your submarine, avoid abyssal terrors, and remove all corpses.
Players take on distinct roles to collaboratively pilot the submarine, which is "blind" and relies on sonar and station-based controls. Teamwork and coordination are essential, as one player pilots, another manages the throttle, and another operates the sonar to safely guide the vessel through the treacherous ocean.
The primary objective is to navigate the submarine to abandoned underwater labs, dive into the dark, procedurally-generated wrecks, and retrieve the bodies of failed experiments. Players must carefully explore these dangerous facilities, avoiding a variety of deadly creatures, such as the "trench-coat" enemy that can instantly kill them.
As players complete missions and destroy the retrieved bodies, they earn credits to spend on upgrading the submarine and their diving gear. These upgrades, which include improved sonar, oxygen tanks, and shredding capabilities, enhance the players' chances of success in future, increasingly challenging expeditions.
The game's dark, eerie aesthetic and the constant threat of deadly ocean creatures create a tense, survival horror-like experience. Players must remain vigilant, making quick decisions to avoid being killed by the various dangers that lurk both inside and outside the submarine.
Up to four players can collaborate, with each taking on a specific role within the submarine. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial, as players must coordinate their actions to successfully navigate the wrecks, retrieve the bodies, and avoid the various threats they encounter.
The procedurally-generated underwater wrecks ensure that each expedition presents a unique challenge, encouraging players to explore different strategies and approaches to overcome the randomized dangers and obstacles they face.
