❤ Asymmetrical Gameplay

Players take on one of two distinct roles - a giant sandworm or a team of "pardners" working together. As the worm, you must use your unique abilities to hunt down and devour the pardners. As a pardner, you and your teammates must coordinate your traversal skills and use environmental objects to complete objectives and escape the town before the worm catches you.

❤ Unique Worm Mechanics

The worm can only detect players when they are touching the ground, similar to a game of "hot lava". This encourages pardners to climb on rocks, ledges, and use other props to avoid detection. The worm can also burrow underground to quickly traverse the map, before erupting from the soil to lunge at unsuspecting pardners.

❤ Pardner Objectives and Traversal

The pardner team must work together to fuel a train, clear debris from the tracks, and find the train key in order to escape. Accomplishing these tasks requires coordinated parkour-like movements, jumping between platforms, climbing walls, and using the environment to create new paths.

❤ Traversal Tools

Pardners have access to various tools that enhance their traversal abilities, such as knives to escape the worm's grasp and a "wormgun" rifle that can temporarily stun the worm. They can also use dynamite to clear obstacles and create new paths.

❤ Emergent Gameplay and Cooperation

The unique mechanics of the worm, the pardners' traversal abilities, and the available tools create a sandbox of emergent gameplay opportunities. Players must constantly adapt their strategies and coordinate their efforts to overcome the challenges presented by the worm, leading to hilarious and tense moments.

❤ Player Customization

While the worm lacks customization options, pardners can customize the appearance of their characters, allowing them to create unique and often humorous-looking avatars. This adds to the game's personality and provides an additional layer of player expression.
