❤ Remote Deadnaut Control

The core gameplay loop revolves around remotely controlling a "Deadnaut" - a pilot encased in an exosuit - to navigate treacherous environments. You view the action through a simulated control panel interface, akin to the "ping" systems from Alien, adding tension as you must carefully plan each move without a direct first-person view.

❤ Unique Exosuit Classes

The game allows you to choose from five different Deadnaut suit types, each with unique abilities and playstyles. For example, the stealthy Sensor suit relies on avoiding detection, while the Tech suit can hack into systems and deploy turrets. This variety opens up different approaches to each randomly generated run.

❤ Trust Management and Puppet Control

A key mechanic is maintaining the trust level between you (the "Handler") and the Deadnaut. Making good decisions keeps their trust high, but poor performance can erode it. If you lose their trust, you must either bribe the Deadnaut or take direct "puppet" control - a disturbing choice that limits their abilities. This trust system adds an extra strategic layer of consequences to your actions.

❤ Tactical Turn-Based Gameplay

The game plays out in a traditional turn-based roguelike fashion. You move the Deadnaut one step at a time, with enemies also acting when you move. This encourages careful maneuvering, hacking, and weapon/ability usage to survive encounters with the game's varied alien threats and security systems - every turn can be deadly.

❤ Unpredictable, Replayable Environments

Each mission takes place in randomly generated locations, from derelict spaceships to abandoned settlements. This procedural nature, combined with unpredictable events and enemy placements, ensures no two runs are ever the same. Coupled with the varied Deadnaut suit options, this provides high replayability as you explore different strategies.

❤ Atmospheric Audio Cues

A significant part of the gameplay experience is the immersive audio design. You must rely heavily on sound cues to detect and identify threats, as the minimalist visual interface obscures much of the direct information. Muffled, distant sounds, electrical interference, and ominous ambience all contribute to the tense, unnerving atmosphere.
