Souls of White Star is a sci-fi turn-based card wargame Roguelike strategy game. The different design of [double-sided technology moving cards] and [bandwidth draw cost] will test your judgment and decision more!
Players can obtain cards through various means, such as winning battles, building bases, copying enemy decks, and completing exploration events. They can also delete cards, allowing them to quickly build and refine their decks, much faster than in similar games. The game's optimized card-drawing system enables players to draw cards of varying rarity (white, blue, purple, and gold) by spending different amounts of resources, reducing the risk of early defeat. During battles, the "flip cards" system allows players to convert surplus or unwanted cards into action points for their units, providing greater flexibility.
The game combines deckbuilding with tactical grid-based combat. Players must carefully consider factors such as attack range, terrain, and the unique abilities of different units and technologies as they maneuver their forces on the battlefield, adding depth and strategic decision-making to the combat.
The game features three main factions, 10 major factions, and 20 chronoweapons, ensuring ample replayability. Each faction and faction combination offers unique playstyles and synergies, allowing players to experiment with different strategies and approaches.
The game offers both a story-driven campaign mode and a gameplay-focused standard mode. The campaign mode provides a narrative experience, while the standard mode focuses on the core gameplay mechanics, enabling players to engage in multiple runs and explore different strategies.
The game supports character customization, and it is expected to offer workshop support upon its official release, allowing players to create their own roles, including custom art. This further enhances the game's replayability and player expression.
