Players Like...

❤ Turn-Based Tactical Combat System

Players take control of a party of up to 3 characters in a unique turn-based tactical combat system. On their turn, each character can perform one action and one movement, requiring careful positioning and planning to optimize ability usage.

❤ Pigment Resource Management

A key mechanic is the "pigment" resource system. Pigment of different colors generates from dealing or receiving damage, with the color corresponding to the enemy/ally's health bar. Players must manage their limited pigment capacity, using the right pigment colors to power character abilities while avoiding overflow, which damages the entire party. This creates strategic depth as players balance offensive, defensive, and resource management decisions.

❤ Enemy Mechanics and Positioning

The combat also emphasizes understanding and countering enemy mechanics. Enemies telegraph their upcoming actions on a timeline, allowing players to position their party and choose abilities accordingly. Many enemies have unique behaviors, status effects, and damage types that players must adapt to. Positioning characters on the 5x2 grid-based battlefield is crucial to minimizing damage and controlling the flow of battle.

❤ Character Variety and Synergies

The game features a diverse cast of playable "Fools" (characters), each with their own unique abilities, passives, and play styles. Combining different party members can create powerful synergies, as players experiment with complementary skills and pigment color requirements. The randomized party composition at the start of each run encourages adapting strategies to the available tools.

❤ Progression and Replayability

As a roguelike, each run starts fresh with randomized elements. Players unlock new playable Fools and powerful artifacts through progression systems, adding to the game's replayability. The combat's depth, varied enemy encounters, and character interactions ensure that no two runs feel identical, challenging players to devise new approaches each time.
