Instead of simply purchasing seeds, animals, or other farm items, players must first discover and research these elements in the wild. This involves observing, studying, and recording information about plants, creatures, and other aspects of the game world. Once an item has been properly researched, players can then grow, tame, or otherwise utilize it on their farm. Maintaining a detailed research journal that catalogs all of your findings provides a strong sense of progression and accomplishment as more entries are filled out.

Alongside the research-focused gameplay, the title features familiar farming and animal raising mechanics. Players can grow a variety of crops, each with their own unique environmental requirements in terms of soil, climate, and more. Properly caring for and harvesting these crops is essential for generating resources and income. On the animal side, players can tame and domesticate wild creatures they encounter. These animal companions not only provide useful products, but can also assist the player in various ways, such as by finding resources or providing boosts to certain activities. Maintaining the health and productivity of these creatures requires carefully managing their feeding and housing needs.
