The Developer Says...

This is the latest addition to the series of 2D fighting games based on TYPE-MOON's visual novel, Tsukihime. The curtain rises once more on dramatic battles played out with familiar characters from Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon.

Players Like...

❤ Rapid Beat (Auto-Combos)

The game allows players to perform basic combos by mashing light attack buttons. This "auto-combo" system, called Rapid Beat, makes the game more approachable for new players. However, manual combos deal more damage, incentivizing experienced players to use Rapid Beat selectively.

❤ Shield Mechanics

Blocking is a core mechanic. Players can hold back to block or use a dedicated Shield button. Shielding has its own risk/reward system - it can break if the opponent lands certain attacks, but successfully shielding creates counterattack opportunities. This rock-paper-scissors dynamic around shield usage adds strategic depth.

❤ Moon Skills

Each character has access to unique "Moon Skills" - special abilities that consume a meter. These range from powerful single-hit attacks to aerial mobility options. Managing the Moon Gauge to utilize these game-changing abilities requires additional strategic consideration.

❤ Fast-Paced, Technical Gameplay

The game emphasizes air mobility, with options like double jumps, air dashes, and jump cancels. This leads to frenetic, aerial-focused combat with lots of mix-up potential. Combos are tight and demanding, rewarding players who can execute precise button inputs. However, the simplified control scheme makes it more accessible for newcomers, while still offering depth for experienced players.

❤ Balanced, Diverse Roster

The roster features strong balance and variety. Each character has unique strengths, tools, and playstyles, allowing players to find a fighter that suits their preferences. This diversity encourages experimentation and adds depth to the metagame, as players must adapt to different matchups.

❤ Ongoing Support and Improvements

The developers have regularly patched the game, addressing community feedback. Things like the controversial Shield mechanics have been tweaked over time to find a better balance. The game also receives free content updates, including new characters, keeping the experience fresh.
