❤ Parry Precision and Dual-Bar Combat

The combat in this game takes direct inspiration from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, challenging players to precisely time parries against a variety of aggressive enemies. Unlike the stamina management of Dark Souls, the lack of a stamina system allows for a relentless, fluid combat flow, where players can freely dodge, attack, and parry without resource concerns. Enemies have a two-part health bar - a white "physical" bar that drops with sword strikes, and a green "wound" bar that can only be depleted with claw attacks. To defeat foes, players must carefully balance their offense, using swords to expose the wound bar, then striking with claws to permanently reduce the enemy's maximum health. This creates a dynamic combat loop that rewards an aggressive, adaptable playstyle.

❤ Versatile Plague Weapons

Complementing the core sword and claw attacks, players can equip a variety of "plague weapons" that each have unique movesets and playstyles. Some plague weapons excel at area-of-effect damage, while others focus on status effects and crowd control. Players can freely swap between these plague weapons at any checkpoint, encouraging experimentation to find the optimal tool for each encounter. Mastering the timing and application of these plague weapons is crucial for taking down the game's challenging boss battles, where their specialized abilities can turn the tide of a fight.

❤ Flexible Talent Tree

The game's talent tree provides a high degree of build customization, with players able to invest points into a wide variety of passive and active abilities. Talents can enhance parry timing, boost claw damage, or modify plague weapon effectiveness, fundamentally altering the player's combat approach. Crucially, talent points can be freely reallocated at any checkpoint, allowing players to seamlessly adapt their playstyle as needed. This, combined with the versatile plague weapons, gives the combat a significant amount of build diversity, as players discover their preferred combination of swordplay, parries, and specialized abilities.
